Hand-formed regional

The deep end of the catalog. These shapes require a human hand: a thumb drag, a palm roll, a twist around a knitting needle. Most belong to one town or one region, many go by a different name in the next valley, and a few are made by only a handful of people alive. They are the reason an almanac exists. The geometry is irregular by design, the surfaces are rough where a board scraped them, and the sauces they carry are the ones their towns could afford. This family is where the catalog stops being a supermarket aisle and becomes a map.
