The difference

Conchiglie vs Lumache

Both are cupped shells for holding sauce, but conchiglie is a ridged seashell open along one side, and lumache is a curled snail shape with a single opening. The shell cups, the snail traps. Either one is built for a thick sauce that needs somewhere to sit.
