The difference

Casarecce vs Trofie

Casarecce is a short ribbon rolled into an open S channel, the groove down its length made to hold sauce. Trofie is a thin hand-rolled twist tapered to a point at both ends, shorter and skinnier, the Ligurian bed for pesto. One is a folded channel, the other a tapered spindle.
