The difference

Caccavelle vs Conchiglioni

Both are giant shells you stuff and bake, but caccavelle is a deep Gragnano bowl, one of the largest shapes made, closer to a cup than a shell. Conchiglioni is the giant ridged conch, open along its length. Caccavelle holds a whole portion, conchiglioni a piped spoonful.
