The difference
Tortelli vs Tortelloni
Both are Emilian egg-pasta parcels, and the names cause the mix-up. Tortelli is the flat sealed square or rectangle, filled with pumpkin, ricotta and chard, or other regional mixes. Tortelloni is the large ring, a big square of sfoglia folded and wrapped around the finger like an oversized tortellino, usually ricotta and herbs. Flat parcel against folded ring.
