The difference

Acini di pepe vs Alfabeto

Both are tiny soup pastina, but acini di pepe are round beads like peppercorns, while alfabeto are flat stamped letters. The bead is a solid speck, the letter a thin shaped piece. Acini di pepe scatters through broth, alfabeto is the alphabet pasta children pick out.
